So, here I am, another guy at another dating site. Only good things I can do with words are make puns, oxymorons, or make metaphors/comparisons.

So basically, I guess what I will do here is just try to explain myself the best I can. Keep in mind, I am not good at wording things, I am actually not as "in your face".

The best way to sum me up is in 5 words. I cant be summed up.
My life and personality is full of paradoxes like the one above, yet I am pretty straightforward.
I'm a martial artist, and have even been an instructor, so I'm well-disciplined, but have ADHD, so can be a bit off the wall at times.

I consider myself to be mature for my age, but some people would disagree, because I can be really quirky and random. One of my friends labeled it as I just have turrets.

I even am goofy at work, if the time allows. Example is working at K-Mart, I took one of those giant ring Frisbee things, and wore it as a hat... at work.
A couple managers walked by, and asked what I had on my head. I told them a frisbee. They asked why, I said I don't know. They said to take it off, and I asked why (I was cool with them), they said because it was going to cut off circulation to my brain. I asked them "what does it matter, if I don't need to use it anyhow here? I'm in sporting goods, after all" :P

Don't get me wrong, I know how to be serious too, like I said, I've done martial arts instruction. But if I can't be a goofball, because that makes me immature, then I never want to grow up! ;)
An the other hand, I'm am kinda laid back.

One way I consider myself to be more mature than most people is that I don't lie. I mean, while I may not say all there is to be said, you will not find a false word leave my mouth. I'm an adult now, and I realize the best way to get out of trouble is to face it.

I tell the truth so you know you can trust what I say. If I can't have THAT in a relationship, where I know I can trust my better half, there is no relationship.

I'm the kind that refrains from doing anything I might regret later (I've never smoked or done drugs in my life). Only time I do things I regret usually is just because I sometimes might jump the gun on things (one of the qualities I'm looking for in a girl is that she can sometimes hold my leash with that). :P

One last thing: Everyone has their pet peeves. Mine is people keeping their word. If you tell me you will do something, you do it, or at least tell me you can't/won't within a reasonable time.

I know things happen, and I understand that. But if you tell me you will do something, and you are reading a book instead of doing it, don't expect to not get an earful from me.
To me it's just common sense that you would get someone mad over not keeping your word. Some people don't think that way, so if you can't at least try to keep your word most the time, sorry but we won't work.

I like to hit 90 on the highway blaring the stereo while playing air guitar (quite badly) on the steering wheel before I go home to empty my brain. My car is my personal 'Harley' of sorts. I'm in the process of doing a complete rebuild on my '79 Firebird and am about 6 months away from driving it again. I've got no problem getting greasy with the best of them, but if there's a bug under the car my butt is gone.

I have a shop cat named 'Killer' that occassionally attacks a slow lizard, though I think her next big score will be the mockingbird that's been dive-bombing her for the last 2 weeks.

UPDATE: She did manage to tag herself a tail feather. With her history of bringing me her lizards, I can almost see the impending scenario of an office full of feathers to clean up.

UPDATE 2: Her mockingbird managed to escape unscathed this year, but I think we'll see it again next year... the two of them had several 'conversations' of meowing and chirping at each other. I did have a customer bring her back to me after she went for a ride in his van. Awful nice of him.

Have 3 great boys that live primarily with their dad - oldest 2 heavily into their bands and the youngest, my car buddy. My oldest is an amazing drummer. The middle guy an awesome guitarist. Both have played the local Antone's with their band (when the middle guy was 14!). My youngest is into anything with wheels. Cars are his main passion, but a toy plane will entertain him just as well as long it has landing gear.

I am highly family oriented, open minded, hard to handle, and definetly worth it. I am a writer at heart, and am constantly digging in my head and others. I am quite outgoing and loud, but fun all the same.

Well i like to tell and hear jokes and make fun of myself and anything that can get a laugh or a look that screams "Did he just say/or do that" that look is priceless. I enjoy building computers i don't do it often but its fun. I enjoy going bowling even though i don't do it to often. I have a Wii and a Xbox 360 they collect dust at times. I enjoy going to concerts ive seen Stained, Seether and Papa Roach in concert. I do go to some small bars sometimes (like 10-15 people). My favorite drink is jack and coke and i don't really care for beer. I don't really go to the bars or drink much because i can think of better things to spend my money on but sometimes its fun. Also just started back to playing World of Warcraft.

I can be a hard guy to figure out I suppose...I try to be as honest about myself as I can, and I don't believe in leading someone on....I don't like it when it's done to me, so I won't do it to anyone else....I like to be straight forward with the way I feel, I try my best not to move things to fast though when it comes to a relationship....so I guess I like to take things at a moderate pace, not to fast but not too slow...I am pretty particular in who I choose to call friend, cause theirs a lot of people that just want to take advantage of you out there....I try to invest my money wisely, but right now I'm trying to go through college so If your looking for someone with money your looking in the wrong place, but if your looking for someone that will actually care about you and treat you right then your looking in the right place...my dads in prison, and my mom I haven't seen in years but I still talk too her over the phone at times I try to at least once a week....me and my sister, and brother-in-law are really close though....I guess that pretty much sums it up for me if you want to know anything else you'll just have to ask me for yourself

Well let's see hmmm. I am a 43 yr old Italian man who 6-01 about 217 and finally trying to get back into the dating circle or whatever it's called ... (LOL). I enjoy the outdoors hunting,fishing,walking,jogging,hiking... Like exercisng when my time allows me.. I like to ride 4 wheelers,motorcycles. Enjoy good food... I can cook good but cant say i enjoy doing it... :)

I liken myself as to an explorer, not one which travels the seas, but one who sojourns through this fascinating medium in which we are engaged. Although there is much that is mere commerce or puerile entertainment, I find the interaction of minds quite interesting. Think of a great masked ball in which all sorts of people mingle, hiding their real persona and donning an alternative front. Unknown to each other, they express freed thoughts (whether they be great, controversial, or petty). Of particular interest to myself are discussions on religion, in its various contortions.

So... right, obviously I have problems remaining serious for any length of time. Which is odd, because I look super serious (the better to set you up my dear). As you can see, I keep my thought bubbles on my sleeve, so don't go popping them.

I'm passively argumentative, insofar as I try to use someone's own logic against them. Unless I'm being lazy and just mock them. Quick thought; is there such a thing as Gangster Socratic Method?

Just so you know, I am currently having a love affair with my pillow (platonic, I swear!). You need to be cool with that. {Curly side note: did Plato like to cuddle?}

I meet new challenges with great enthusiasm... at least till I get bored.

Recently, I have been more inclined to read works of non-fiction, mostly about scientific endeavors and religion, than fiction, although that's fun too. I have similar tastes in movies/shows.

I really enjoy exploring the wild and quite often horrific world of the internet. The Greek forums anyone? (Oooh that's a double meaning there.)

Ever look down at a description of yourself in a small white box and think...wow, that doesn't sound like me at all? I keep changing the contents of this box, thinking maybe I'll reach some sort of middle ground between "she actually sounds like a human being" and "she sounds like someone interesting." I'm not there yet. I may never be. Oh well.

The following is a list of random things about me. Take them for what you will (like I could stop you...).

1. I'm an environmentalist. I ride a bicycle. I wear a fair amount of organic cotton (and other natural fibers...I have a pair of shoes made out of jute) or recycled/upcycled clothing. I recycle. I eat tempeh.
2. I watch a LOT of movies. I know a fair amount of random trivia about several films. I can quote some of the dialogue sometimes. I do not have a top five desert island list of films, but I could probably come up with one. My favorite genres are: black comedy, horror (particularly zombies, vampires, werewolves, other monsters, and sometimes ghosts), apocalypse/post-apocalypse. I'll watch other genres, but I loathe dumb/slapstick crap.
3. I'm nomadic. I have never lived anywhere longer than three years, and I don't see this changing any time soon. I get really bored living in the same place for a long time. I *need* to move.
4. It took me eight years to finish my bachelor's degree (I wasn't in school the whole time).
5. I worked in retail for six years. It was f--king miserable and I promised myself I would *never* do it again.
6. I'm an informal educator. I teach outside. I love my job-seriously love it. I always thought I would go into politics, and I'm really glad I didn't.
7. I'm liberal and democratic but I don't watch the news and I don't know much about what's going on in the universe outside of my own. I'm sure it's all dramatic and evil and blahblahblah but there are just more important and pressing things going on in my life. It's all about priorities.
8. I'm cynical and sarcastic. If I pick on you, it means I care. If I'm overly nice to you, it means I hate you with a burning, boiling passion. I'm non-confrontational.
9. I'm pagan (no, not Wiccan). It's important to me (at least, enough to mention it). I also go to church on an irregular basis.
10. Ass-kicking heroines make me hot. Also, women with tattoos and/or dreadlocks. Women I wouldn't kick out of bed include Michelle Rodriguez, Katharine Hepburn (except that she's dead), Natalie Portman (esp during her bald phase), Robin Tunney (but only during her Empire Records phase), Fariuza Balk, Eliza Dushku, Thora Birch, and Florence Welch. There are probably more.
11. I love violent thunderstorms. I love to *cuddle* during violent thunderstorms. Or dance in them. Or both at the same time.
12. I lost my virginity in the woods, on the ground. It was not the best day ever. But when is it, ever?
13. I love pickles and am only mildly amused by chocolate.
14. Road trips thrill me, even if we're only going a few miles. I will stop and take pictures of random things (like hourly-rate motels and old warehouses). I will sing along to the radio. I will say stupid things like "Ooh! Horsies!" I will tell you stories that I would not tell you in other situations. There's just something about a road trip.
15. I'm socially awkward. If I click with you automatically, you're incredibly special and I'll probably spend the rest of my life talking to you. I don't remember the last time I had that sort of connection with someone.

I am 30 years old and proud of it. It took me a long time to get comfortable in this skin.

I like to camp (in a tent) and fish. I love water. I also enjoy getting all dressed up for a night at the theatre or the opera.

I like hockey, baseball (National League, please. The DH rule is crap!!), football. I'm the kind of girl who actually has no problem watching or going to sporting events.

I love the solitude of the country life and the excitement of the city.

I like nights out with friends. Going to karaoke or dancing all night. I like going to see local bands live or a nice neighborhood bar. I like nights in, movies and popcorn on the couch, playing games or reading a book.

I like to cook and bake. I like a good glass of wine. I like a cold beer while sitting around a fire. I love the smell of the Piney Woods.

I like to check out local museums. I like to travel. I want to drive Route 66 and see all the quirky road-side attractions.

I love to laugh and have a good time. I think that I am a good listener. People tend to open up to me.

I love being with my family. We fight hard and love even harder.

I am completely random and a bit contradictory! I'm sure you can tell by the previous entries.

I know the feeling of loving someone completely and having that person love me back. I refuse to settle. I want someone that I can have moments of silence without awkwardness. Someone who will drive me mad yet I can't help love them anyway. I am looking for a soul, not a gender.

I am an outdoorsy, clean-cut man. I am a college grad and I own and operate a successful small business. I believe in superior customer service and still care about the quality of my job performance. I am a very thoughful, respectful and organized person. Tough on the outside, and sometimes even slip up and show that I'm tender on the inside. I attend every one of my sons baseball or football games and always look forward to the next one. He is in High School and I also have a daughter, which is currently away at College. I also enjoy fishing, and don't mind an occasional cultural event. Love going to watch LSU play.
