Port Arthur Texas Museums
Sports, music and history lovers will know Port Arthur, Texas Museum of Natural History, one of the largest and most popular museums in the country. Starting with a comprehensive overview of the history of the Texas Longhorns, the nation's most popular sports team, this museum is the perfect base for visiting PortArthur.
The museum also shows the many genres that flourished along the Gulf Coast, including jazz, blues, country, rock "n" roll, folk, jazz and country music. The live stories of two East Texas natives who achieved great fame in music represent the musical styles of the Gulf region. Janis Joplin, whose live story from southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana is also featured, interviews her family, friends and fellow musicians.
The school and other groups can take advantage of the museum's unique experiences, such as making connections and studying the history of oil, gas, oil and natural gas production in the Gulf of Mexico. Visitors can interact with exhibits to learn about the rock formations that predict the presence of crude oil or natural gas, and about the products that are produced in refineries.

I met Janis Joplin's class in the 1960s when they sent me a note that read, "I'm one of only two people ever to come to Port Arthur, Texas. She was an outsider, and part of the Grammy Museum exhibition shows her own reminiscence of PortArthur. There is undoubtedly a place where you can shop in the crowded store for things about Jani Jopslin. Once in Port the Coast, you should look for the Gulf Coast Museum on Procter Street, which has a permanent exhibition dedicated to it.

The Port Arthur Historical Society (PAHS) is hosting the annual Port Arthur Museum of Art & History Day. The event will take place on Saturday 16 July from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will begin in the PortArthur Museum, on the second floor of the museum, in the lobby.
